Scholarly research by university faculty, with priority given to research relevant to adult learning. In honor of William Maehl, former Fielding president, and his wife. Endowment.

Supports a wide range of research conducted by Fielding faculty and students.

Fund for Fielding’s Future
Supports the exploration or implementation of new ideas or programs that are consistent with the university’s mission and values and which promote the continued excellence of the Fielding educational experience.

General Fielding Endowment
Provides interest income to unrestricted funds, ensuring Fielding will continue to provide a high quality, flexible educational experience to a broad array of students well into the future.

Richard & Yakko Meyers Endowed Entrepreneurial Fund
Supports the exploration or implementation of new ideas or programs that are consistent with the university’s mission and values and which promote the continued excellence of the Fielding educational experience. Endowment.

Provides flexibility in allocating funds to areas of highest priority or toward new opportunities as they arise. May be used to support a variety of needs, from faculty resources to scholarships to academic programming.

Bushnell Endowed Scholarship in Organizational & Social Change
Annual award to an HOD student in support of innovative research and practice for nonprofit organizations. In honor of HOD founding dean and faculty emeritus, Don Bushnell. Endowment.

Ernestine Magagna Baker Endowed Scholarship
Annual award for a clinical psychology student, with an emphasis on need and preference for students who are first in their family to attend undergraduate or graduate school. Endowment.

General scholarships for meritorious Fielding students.

Interest earned from this endowed fund provides financial assistance to Fielding students.

Elizabeth Douvan Post-Doctoral Fellowship
For HOD graduates whose performance, product, or process benefits the individual and the HOD community. In honor and memory of faculty emerita Libby Douvan.

LaNelle & Dennis Ford Scholarship
Annual scholarship to a female PSY or HOD student residing in Texas.

Louis & Adele Osherson Fellowship
Fellowships for mental health practitioners to deepen their training and knowledge of psychodynamic theory and practice through attendance at a Fielding winter session. In the Alonso Center and School of Psychology, in honor of Louis and Adele Osherson. Endowment.

Minority Dissertation Award
Supports psychology doctoral students with dissertations on topics related to historically underrepresented groups in the research literature.

Psychology Honors Fund
Grants to Psychology students based upon academic achievement, Fielding community participation, and perseverance in the face of adversity. Endowment.

Dedicated to advancing the understanding and interdisciplinary use of psychodynamic theory and practice. School of PSY. Endowment.

Creative Longevity & Wisdom Initiative
Research and advocacy focused on opportunities and challenges for aging and the development of wisdom. In the Institute for Social Innovation.

Fielder Visiting Scholars
Establishes a lectureship series featuring nationally recognized scholars. In memory of Marie Fielder, pioneering educator and founding board member of Fielding. Endowment.

Institute for Social Innovation (ISI)
Creating social capital by strengthening the capacity of individuals and organizations to address societal problems.

ISI-Nonprofit Support Center Collaboration
Fielding faculty, students, and alumni collaborate with the Santa Barbara Nonprofit Support Center to design and implement strategic plans and long-term goals for sustaining local nonprofits.

Malcolm Knowles Chair in Adult Learning
Awarded to HOD faculty member whose sustained efforts exemplify the student-centered learning principles of Malcolm Knowles, former doctoral program faculty member and renowned scholar in the field of adult learning. Endowment.

Virtual Community (ISAKO)
Development of the Information Society and Knowledge Organization (ISAKO) concentration, and faculty and student research associated with ISAKO. School of HOD.

Worldwide Network for Gender Empowerment
Networks of scholars and activists from around the world committed to research and action in support of knowledge and change related to women’s and gender issues.
